  you people will again certainly see the distinction between a righteous one and a wicked one, between one serving god and one who has not served him.mal.

  what a contrast in outlook there is between those who are part of the christian congregation and those who are not!

  For all those relying on Jehovah surely a true test of faith would be for them not to rely on Caesar.

  As for the distinction between the righteous and the wicked there is a whole lot of ordinary folk inbetween.

  If the GB had a FB page all the dubbies who "liked" it would be giving them access to all their FB activity, photos and status updates and who they were friends with. Any who did not "like" the GB would be those having something to hide.

  Now I understand their methods of control and their misuse of analogies and fake people/situations it is easy to spot the loaded language and "suggestions" behind their manipulation of members.

  The society never actually has to say "do not do something" but will push their point of view in the form of a question "would a thinking person do this" or would a "true Christian" do that and the individual is manipulated into believing the decision was theirs and conscience based. Discovering the level of control the GB have in aspects of members lives they have no business in even having an opinion on is shocking

  They do not do this by accident or chance.

  Question about Private/Public Reproof Records

  hello all, i have seen several topics of df/da records being kept, but not any on how long they keep private/public reproof records.

  anyone know?.

  are forms sent to the society on these instances like they do for df/da individuals?.

  What happens to the records kept of inactive ones?

  If a cong knows some-one has moved to a new area/country do they send the records to that country's branch or do they keep them until asked? If no-one asks because the person has decided to fade and does not register at the local KH what happens then? If it became known that I was apostate locally could they disfellowship me even though I only went once?

  The real reason would be control of information. Social net-working sites like FB is full of information detrimental to the average dubbie. They might find out the truth about the cult they are in.

  The are loads of reasons excuses given ranging from the time it uses up to becoming addicted and the analogy is used of not inviting a stranger into your car so why invite a stranger to your FB page. hardly the same thing but ............

  If the WT dumped 1914 tommorow ...?

  this is my first post here.

  i've been a lurker for awhile but had no particular desire to join until the other day.. anyways, do you think that if wt decided to face the fact that 607-1914 is an indefensible pile of crap that has been artificially kept steaming for way too long, would it really kick off a mass exodus or anything?

  in the short term the fds/gb might lose some authority, but they are hemorrhaging people anyways keeping it around (607 started me on the road to this place).. if wt stopped talking about 1914 for awhile then later killed it, blaming it on "further research" or something, and acknowledged some uncertainty in 607/587, i really doubt that very many of the r&f would think much about it.

  It doesn't matter what the GB says and is subsequently proven to be wrong because "it is the truth" and loyalty is paramount. Any problems "wait on Jehovah" and he will sort it out.

  Any who do not adhere to this mindset are the ones who will manage to escape.

  Did you Observe Medical Emergencies Occur While Meetings Continued On?

  i've thought a lot about this over the years .

  bonafide's thread reminded me of this and how unethical and insensitive it was for jehovah's witnesses meetings to go on without stopping while some rank and file members were having medical emergencies right in the kingdom hall.

  my experience i will never forget.. in 1983 i was among some pioneers who were giving experiences at a circuit assembly in front of a crowd of about 2,000. this 83 year old sister was standing at the microphone and when she got done with her part - she sat next to me in her chair on the stage.

  a brother in my hall mentioned in a twist of scriptures how we can thank the faithful slave class for warning us in connection with blood transfusions since 1945, because now the medical field recognises the riscs and try to minimize the use of blood.. despite the fatcs, that this statement is ridicolous in so many ways, i d like to find information (outside the "apostate" realm) that proves, that even allowed fractions are involing the risc of getting hepatitis, aids etc.... that would completely refute such a notion.. thx in advance... .

  my wife and i have a lurking witness friend who sent us this information as she is very pro-active trying to fight child abuse from within the organization itself !

  so get your barf bags ready- you are going to need them to stomach this " official policy " garbage from the wt society.

You can gain more Bible understanding by asking the Author for his help, as did the psalmist who said: “Uncover my eyes, that I may look at the wonderful things out of your law.” (Psalm 119:18) Pray to God each time you read the Scriptures, asking him to help you to understand his Word. You can also express thanks for the Bible, for without it we would not know God.—Psalm 119:62.

  Does God hear such prayers for help? Consider what happened to two teenage sisters in Uruguay. They were puzzled by what the Bible says at Daniel 2:44 and prayed that God send someone to help them understand it. While the girls’ Bible was still open, two of Jehovah’s Witnesses came to their door, read the exact verse the girls had prayed about, and explained that it describes that man-made governments would be replaced by God’s Kingdom. The teenage sisters were convinced that God had answered their prayer for help.

  The first statement implies we only need God to help us understand and the second statement states the sisters thought it was God sent the Jehovah's Witnesses. In the past the Watchtower has also stated that without JW literature the reader will revert back to the teachings of Christendom.

  Of course the GB know what they are doing. They are deliberately and cruelly manipulating 7 million people.
